Mission Statement
"The Learning Difficulties Centre of BC provides training and tutoring, using individualized, multisensory approaches in developing reading, writing, spelling and math skills, while promoting awareness and distributing information, to support children and adults affected by learning difficulties."
The Learning Difficulties Centre of BC, began operating in 1998,
(formerly the Prince George Dyslexic Support Society, founded in 1987)
when the society saw the need for remediation services for individuals with learning difficulties.
We are a registered non-profit charity.
The Society was originally formed to provide support services and information to
parents, educators, and the general public about dyslexia and other specific language difficulties.
Since then we have expanded to include a Tutoring Centre, Training Centre, and Resource Centre.
